I joined M/S Vasons Concept Group in March 1976 (after my stinct with M/S Huts Consulting Architects and M/S Howard Construction Company that started the Federal Secretariat Building, Ikoyi) as a Technical Officer after my OND in Civil Engineering and Building Course at Yaba College of Technology. My first major assignment in the firm was the design of the machine base at the Apapa Amusement Park which was on cellular raft foundation. During student lock outs and holidays, I returned to the office and jobs handled during those periods, in addition to numerous private clients jobs, include the Naval Clinic, Manning Record Office, Nigerian Army, Apapa, the Administrative Office, Adult Education Centre, Kano; and the Design of Roads, Military Training School, Makurdi. Thus, I was fully equipped for both civil and structural engineering work prior to my graduation as a Higher Diploma holder. All the above were done under the supervision of senior engineers in the firm.
I did my University of Lagos IT with M/S Ladiom Associates and I handled quite a number of projects including a Hospital Complex.
I returned to M/S Vasons Concept Group in 1981 after my graduation and left in 1985 for lectureship in the polytechnics, due to unfavourable economic climate of the country at that time, but only to return again in 1989 as an Associate Partner.

In 1989 I was made an Associate Partner of Vasons Concept Group after my resignation as a SeniorLecturer from Lagos State Polytechnic and became a Partner in 1991.

Some major projects handled by me, in most cases as the leading engineer, include;
Roads and Airfields: Iwere-Ile Wasimi Road (F118). This is a 44km earth road designed to the Trunk 'A' asphaltic cement paved road (Design speed, 110km/hr). The road consists of two major bridges at km.6 (45m span) and km.43.6 (105m span). The bridges were of reinforced concrete types standing on piles.
I led the design team that handled both the survey and design of the Auchi - Agenebode Road project -- 64km. (2nd year Highway Sector Loan -World Bank Project) which has been completed and that of Bida - Busu - Dutsun Road.
I led out in the design check and supervision of Azare Air Strip.

Buildings and Other Projects: Some of the building projects handled include:
Ikeja Plaza: This is a four storey building structure comprising of beams and waffle slab housing a modern market and a bank. The then N10m (about $15m) structure was handed over to the Lagos State Government in July, 1990.
Teslim Balogun Stadium Complex: This is an Ultra-Modern Stadium project for Lagos State Government. The complex comprises the Main Bowl (25,000 capacity), Sport Hall, Olympic Size Swimming Pool and Swimming Pool Pavilion, Squash Court and Lawn Tennis Court and Pavilion. It was used for FIFA Junior World Cup in 2009.
Gulf Oil/NNPC Housing Estate: This is a N450m Housing Estate for Gulf Oil Nig. Ltd. A team of engineers including myself designed the project, which has been commissioned.
Apapa Jetties For NNPC: Reconstruction of the Petroleum Products Jetties, Apapa. The Works had been commissioned. The civil engineering design consists of the jetties, jetty infrastructures and shoreline protection including anchored concrete sheet piles. Total cost was $41m plus N294m.
Babcock University: Babcock University is one of the first set of private universities approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1999. I was involved in the production of the University Master Plan and am currently a leading member of the multi-disciplinary consultants for the University Projects including faculty buildings, stadium complex, Roads and Water Supply.
Other Projects: Other projects handled by me which are yet to be executed include the 17-Storey Nuru Oniwo Tower and a 10-Storey high rise building for Eko International Bank PLC.
